Manufacturer Description

VESSEL OVERVIEW The Sabreline 36 Express brings to mind a classic and traditional style, reminiscent of the commuter yachts of bygone days, but with modern and efficient amenities. The warm blend of her teak and holly sole, solid panel doors, beautiful hardwoods and moldings, milled by hand, make her interior liveable and hospitable. Her fine cabinetry is finished with varnish to last for years to come.

The standard layout of the forward cabin offers a comfortable island berth. Hanging locker space is plentiful and the lockers above the berth shelves are spacious. The head compartment enjoys private access from both the forward cabin and the main salon.

The main salon offers space for four adults to relax at the end of the day or enjoy a meal. The U-shaped settee will make up into a double berth for overnight guests. Opposite the salon is a full galley offering an AC/DC refrigerator/freezer, stove with oven, and all the storage needed for longer voyages. Ventilation is excellent with eight opening, stainless steel ports and four deck hatches offering plenty of air and light to the interior.

On deck, the helm is located to starboard behind a stylish stainless steel framed windshield. All engine controls, the ship’s compass and her owner’s navigational electronics are installed on a helm pod which can be titled aft for easy access and maintenance. Helm chairs are provided for both the helmsperson and the mate. Aft of the mate’s seat is a fixed bench seat. In the lower cockpit is an aft facing bench seat with storage below. The transom gate opens out to the fiberglass swim platform and a stainless steel swim ladder. Below the aft deck are additional storage areas, accessible through lazarette hatches.

Unlike main express cruisers, here decks are wide and comfortable, and the large diameter stainless steel rails provide a solid hand hold when walking forward. In addition, the wooden toe rails offer added security on a wet deck. At the bow, a pedestal is provided for the windlass and two lockers are provided for dockline and fender storage.

The Sabreline 36 Express will provide a comfortable 20-22 knot cruise speed and a top speed of 27 knots. Her modified deep-vee hull, which has a 14 degree deadrise angle at the transom, gets her up on plane at 12 knots. Spray rails forward ensure that the deck stays dry even in heavy seas. A keel offers protection to the running gear in shallow waters and improves directional stability in quartering waves.
